The perth fire group is again getting together at Nanga bush camp for a weeknd. People arrive late Friday arvo/evening and we clear out SUnday some time. The fees are $6.50 per night per person - bring cash, not credit. Gravel roads, some slopes, nice and lumpy. I am able to ride my giraffe on it so it is not too difficult for those who are not into heavy muni and trials and stuff. It's good to see how you go with obstacles, gravel, a bit of mush and stuff if you don't ride much. If you wanna join us, have a look at the thread at http://perthfire.zensunni.org/forum/index.php?topic=488.0

Tahlay Christie is an up and coming champion road racer. At thirteen she has raced interstate and is now trying to get to New Zeland on October 2 to compete in the NZ YUNCA Junior Tour of Southland. Brrr - Invercargill, cold and hills like she has never seen before.
And she needs our help to get there.
She is having a fund raiser on August 28. It is in the form of a Thai banquet. The detail are as follows: Where: Les Packham Community Hall, Cordelia Avenue, Coolbellup When: 7pm Saturday 28th August BYO alcohol Adults are $25, Kids U/13 are $10
If you need tickets contact Boa on 0431-405-099. If you want to make up a table, tables are 10 to 12 seatings. Let me know as I am also hoping to get along, maybe we can share a table.
Perth is such a summer place where we spend far too much time at this time of year doing nothing much at all. Do yourself and Tahlay a favour - give Boa a call.
I can vouch for Boa's food - I do eat Thai regularly and what Boa gave me to take home in appreciation of some work Idid with Tahley was the best. I scored it after helping Tahlay prepare to entertain you with some juggling from a stationary uni. Take it from me, while juggling as you ride is easy, it is seriously difficult to juggle from an idling uni.

\Is that $20 each or for pair? Even at $26 each, I think I'd buy rather than go through the grief of looking locally as I have done in the past. You will find cranks at bike shops but the selection will be limited and often sold as singles. That means you don't get a matched pair. And of course, unicycles typically have shorter cranks which can be hard to find at bike shops. If you can order some on the internet it might be a lot easier.
Be aware that there are two common different sized threads at the pedal end so, if y ou already have some pedals in mind, you need to match them all together.
Some cranks are labelled L & R or Left and Right. Some are not. Put them on the right way.

I've been told that bicycle stores stocking parts for trick bikes often carry short cranks. But when I replaced mine it was easier just to go with unicycle.com.

Hey guys would anyone know where i can get a pair of square tapered uni cranks. Maybe 102 or 125mm. Just repairing the old unicycle so I can get back on that one..whilst still selling the other aha. Unicycle.com has them for 20 + 12 postage. Few other online stores do them but quite costly. Cheers
